LAUREL HOUSE EVENTS

Laurel House events are an opportunity to connect with community members, fundraise for our lifesaving programs and services, and raise awareness about domestic violence. Laurel House hosts several events throughout the year, and attends events hosted by local businesses and community groups. Take a moment to learn about our four main events:

Annual Gala

The Gala is a fabulous evening of dining and dancing along with the opportunity to learn more about the mission of Laurel House. This event is our largest fundraiser, and the proceeds support Laurel House’s programs for victims of domestic violence. Last year's event was a celebration of our 45th anniversary and an opportunity to honor Minna Davis, our Director of Counseling Emeritus, and Haverford Trust, one of our longest standing community partners.

This Year's Gala: Rebuilding Lives, Restoring Hope is set for Thursday, May 7, 2026 at RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve in Phoenixville, PA. Use the button below to register, and view the gallery below for images from last year's Gala!

Breaking the Silence

Since 2003, Breaking the Silence has been Laurel House's most mission-driven event. Each year, Laurel House hosts Breaking the Silence to shine a light on a particular aspect of domestic violence, while raising critical funding for our most vital support services. Last year's breakfast highlighted 20 years of our Domestic Abuse Response Team.

Walk A Mile

Originally a third-party event hosted by a local group to support Laurel House, Walk A Mile (WAM) became an official Laurel House event in 2015. Whether you walk in the classic high heels that WAM is known for or take to the pavement in regular sneakers, this event is an opportunity to honor the survivors in your life and community.

Last year's event marked 10 years of Walk A Mile and was our largest walk to date with over 450 participants! Traditionally held in May, this year's Walk A Mile is moving to October to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Shifting Spaces Art Show

The Shifting Spaces Art Show is a collaborative event we host with Victim Services Center of Montgomery County during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.

Know a student looking to help in the fight against domestic violence? The Shifting Spaces Art Show is an opportunity to spread positive messaging about healthy relationships and influence friends, family, and more to value respect, safety, and trust in relationships.
