Volunteers are crucial to advancing our mission and creating a safer Montgomery County!

Laurel House could not provide the services we do without our volunteers!

Volunteering with us is a powerful way to support your community, gain valuable professional experience, and build a dedicated network. Our volunteers receive extensive specialized training to provide meaningful support to survivors of abuse and raise vital awareness about domestic violence throughout Montgomery County.

At Laurel House, we have two types of volunteer opportunities available:

Direct Service Volunteers

Our Direct Service Volunteers empower clients and their families through hands-on support and professional agency representation.

Testimonials from our Volunteers!

"I saw the violence against women happening before my eyes, I heard about it happening behind closed doors, to my loved ones, to strangers, and I became angry. It is not right. How dare someone who claims to love you put their hands on you. I had to do something. I reached out to Laurel House to see how I could help. If I can save just one person and if you can save just one person, together we may have a fighting chance to right the wrongs and make this place safer for everyone."

"To me Laurel House means passion, which is present in everything Laurel House represents. This passion is present in their devoted staff and volunteers who truly make a difference in the lives of adults and children that have been impacted by domestic violence. When I started volunteering for Laurel House I felt and saw this passion right away and it’s why I continue to volunteer. I am so grateful for Laurel House."
