Real people, real stories. Laurel House is an organization that was founded by real people, actually it was a group of volunteers, who after hearing so many women's stories of domestic abuse, decided something needed to be done about it. A place, other than their homes, needed to exist that could serve as a safe haven for those who were fleeing home because of domestic violence. That is the of how the story of Laurel House began.
But the story does not end there...it continues over 30 years later, stronger than ever.
This page is dedicated to those who have stories to tell. Not only will you read stories about those who have survived domestic violence, but you will also hear reflections from our volunteers, as well as those in the community who support our fight against domestic violence.
